How to Cook Bacon-Wrapped Prawns

How to Cook Teriyaki Chicken Drummettes


750g large uncooked prawns, shelled and deveined, with tails left intact

8 rash bacon, rind removed

Herb Marinade

1/4 bunch fresh oregano, chopped

2 cloves garlic, crushed

1/2 cup olive oil

2 tablespoons white wine vinegar


  1. To make marinade, place oregano, garlic, oil and vinegar in a bowl and whisk to combine. Add prawns and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight.
  2. Drain prawns and reserve marinade. Cut each bacon rasher into three pieces, wrap a piece of bacon around each prawn and secure with a wooden toothpick or cocktail stick.
  3. Cook prawns under a preheated medium grill or on the barbecue. Turn occasionally and brush with reserved marinade. Cook for 5 minutes or until bacon is crisp and prawns are cooked.
